I am an expressive artist who embraces, through colour, the boundless realm of exploring creativity.  For me, the canvas becomes the sanctuary to create diverse subject matter using the language of vibrant colour to articulate the unspoken.  At the heart of a large collection my creations are empowered female characters..... resilient, strong, vivid, confident and self aware, seen through layers of vulnerability, delving into the inner voice.  A journey for women, feeling the raw sensitivity of the female human form, the strength of character and the confidence of seeing themselves developing into whatever they wish, inviting them to witness the dance between power and vulnerability. 

I mostly work in oils, acrylics and mixed media.  Through my work I explore a monton of different hues, playing out symphonies of emotions in which the canvas is my playground and colour the language, through which I converse with the soul.  To form the composition of each painting, many rough sketches are laid down on the canvas , some in a spontaneous manner, others mapping out the vision.  Each leading to layer upon layer of different thicknesses and directions of paint, different tones and colour, while using  variety of brush strokes, palette knives, carbon, paper, cards etc and to give differing textures. I use mediums like cold wax and modelling pastes. 

All of this supports me in my vision to build my paintings, creating the sense of freedom and strength that arose from embracing the full spectrum of emotion..... that for me is how we strive to live with being empowered today.  Wild, free, happy, content, loved, respected. fulfilled and self caring.
