I am intrigued by the plight of the ongoing suffering of elephants..  These majestic creatures are struggling to co-exist with humanity, from climate change to illegal poaching.  In this painting it is brought to the fore by the use of the colour red, symbolising blood , anger and danger and the lack of eyes representing us as a collective who seem to find it easier to turn a blind eye to this ongoing issue.
